Got back from Brisbane this afternoon. Oh God, I HATE Brisbane. That place both sucks and blows. Queensland is okay, but Brisbane???? Terrible. It smells like toilet water. The trains suck. The Entertainment Centre is in the middle of nowhere - Blair Witch style. We had to walk through the bush to get to it. And had no sleep thanks to construction going on next to the hotel. But despite all of that, I'm having the best time of my life and I would suffer through it a million times over just to see that show. Oh, the show. It was fucking biblical. That is the only way I can think to describe it. It blew my fucking face off. The pyro they have going on is awwwesome. At the end of the show they set off a series of teeth-shattering explosions that even made Gerard jump. Fear I will be completely deaf, sound like a transvestite and not be able to move by Monday. Frank was there! Wooh! He is SO FUCKING ADORABLE. He's put on weight and was wearing a nanna cardigan and grey schoolboy pants. No longer a svelte punk god but adorable sweet boy you take home to mum. Even his hair is normal. Gerard is mind-blowing. He is like combining an orgasm with a deep religious experience. I never understood why people would raise their hands when singing at Church, until last night. He is utterly nuts and so gay and ridiculous. But that's what MAKES him. At the end of mamma he says in this really insane voice "A surprise party? For me? You shouldn't have!" Jen and I weren't in the mosh for most of it, we decided to stand to the side so we could actually see them - otherwise all we could see was other people's hair. And during one song Gee stood right in front of us and watched us as we sung along and waved at him. I could live that moment forever, it's breathtaking to have that connection. I am going to be a pile of goo by Sunday, guaranteed. And shit poor from buying their awesome merch. At Brisbane airport when we arrived yesterday they were playing Tiny Dancer and it was utterly perfect. This is the best fun I have ever had. I had a dream I was your hero - 2007-12-19
