The biggest thing that sucks about writing as a career is that you can get the best marks at the best course at the best uni, but at the end of the day people don't give a rat's ass about it. They care about your portfolio. I think this is the reason I am suddenly getting my ass into gear with my assignments. I really need to get something published. Anything. I don't care what, just so long as I can start to get a portfolio together. The easiest way to get published is with the local paper. Problem is I seriously have no idea how to find issues in Penrith. It's Penrith. o.o I had a sudden urge to move to Melbourne yesterday. I was even looking up places to rent.
